Retreat Terms
Place is part of the experience. So is clarity about the journey, the stay and what you book.
Working draft · 12 October 2026. These texts require professional validation in Mexico and Spain and confirmation of the indicated details before bookings or data collection are enabled. They do not replace legal advice.
The specific offer for each retreat
Before booking, destination, dates, duration, programme, provider and organiser, accommodation, meals, included transport, hosts, requirements, accessibility, total price, currency, taxes and additional costs will be detailed. Excluded services, payment and cancellation terms and any minimum participant requirement with its statutory notification deadline will also be disclosed. These details await confirmation for each proposal; no invented dates or investments are advertised.
Spain: packages and linked travel arrangements
The label “retreat” does not determine legal classification. If the offer combines travel services and meets Book IV requirements of Spain’s consolidated General Consumer and User Protection Law, package travel or, where appropriate, linked travel arrangement rules apply. Classification will be assessed before marketing and not excluded by a label.
Where applicable, the offer will include standard information, organiser and retailer identity, insolvency protection, assistance and performance responsibility. Termination rights, justifiable cancellation fees, material changes and unavoidable extraordinary circumstances will follow that regime. They will not be replaced with a blanket non-refundable deposit rule.
Mexico: providers and tourism services
Retreats marketed in Mexico must respect the LFPC and, depending on services actually included and SAOMA’s role, applicable tourism rules and information, registration or contract duties. The organiser, accommodation, transport and responsibilities will be identified before contracting. SAOMA is not represented as a registered agency or authorised operator without verification.
Documents, insurance and excluded services
Check passport, visa and destination entry and health requirements. Bring prescribed medication. Appropriate insurance for medical care, accidents, cancellation, disruption and belongings is recommended; the chosen policy determines coverage. Insurance does not replace organiser duties or allow statutory rights to be excluded.
Do not assume flights, transfers, excursions or extra nights are included. The offer will state this expressly. Separately contracted services may have their own terms without removing SAOMA’s responsibilities for services it organises or sells.
Personal needs and changes
Read Health & Safety and communicate dietary needs, allergies, mobility and other relevant circumstances through the designated secure channel. Do not use the general form for diagnoses or health documents. Adaptations for weather, safety or availability must be reasonable; material changes and cancellations will follow the contract and statutory rights, not a complete liability exclusion.
